The selection committee comprising of the company directorate selects 5 students per annum and provides once off donations in support of their studies

C-dog Surfing Academy

Cdogs Surfing Academy, established in 2001 is a development surfing academy for previously disadvantaged youths from areas like. Mitchells Plain, Strandforntein, Khayalitsha, Gugulethu. Since its inception Cdogs academy membership database has grown significantly from 4 members to 150.

Every Saturday Cdogs Surfing Instructors with the academy’s members meet at Muizenberg beach for the days surfing lesson. The academy is fast growing and to keep parents in the know, Cdog Surfing Academy has arranged venues for meetings to inform parents of how the academy wishes to change the present status of surfing in the Western Cape.

Quattro Risk has to date provided the Academy the following

1. Transportation for development members to the beach and home
R 2000.00

2. Sponsored Cdogs annual prize giving ceremony, this major event was organized to recognise the achievements of surfer members R5000.00

3. Prize giving achievement awards R 3000.00

Edendale Primary School

Edendale Primary School situated with in the heart of Manenberg, is yet another previously disadvantaged school the company Directorate took and adopted. Because the school is situated in a crime infested area with high unemployment rate it was incumbent upon Quattro Risk to play a strategic role to positively impact on the lives of the learners of Edendale primary. To date Quattro Risk has provided the school with the following


1. Launch of the cricket practice net R30 000.00

2. Provides financial assistance to upgrade school infrastructure

R 2000.00

3. The provision of a school bus donated for especially for outings, events and school sports, scouts – R5000.00

Seeing a total expenditure of R 45 000.00

Rosmead Primary School

Rosmead Primary School, situated in Rosmead Avenue Claremont, initially formed part of Quattro Risk’s “ ADOPT A SCHOOL” programme, but has since ballooned into greater desire by the Directorate to enhance development by the previously disadvantaged youth in the field of education.


The company has to date established relations since July 2001 with most of the schoolteachers, principle and teachers. This has occurred through the process of meeting once a month with the principle and teachers of the School. To date Quattro Risk has provided the school with the following

1. Payment to the school for an aftercare teacher monthly– R1100.00

2. The provision of a school bus donated for especially for outings, events and school sports – R5000.00

Business Intelligence – through accessing information of a diverse business nature, accurate intelligence related to the clients competitors is obtained


Corporate Crime – we undertake investigations covering the full spectrum of criminal and unethical activity

Covert Investigations – probe teams equipped with sophisticated body and car video recording equipment react to information provided by undercover operators.

Due diligence – confidential and comprehensive background enquiries are carried out related to corporate entities involved in merger, acquisition or buyout activity

Polygraph Examinations (Truth Verification) – we carry out polygraph pre-employment screening, periodic and specific examinations.

Surveillance – both static and vehicle observation is provided using live GPS Tracking System

Undercover Investigators – we supply trained male and female operatives. Their weekly reports will provide an overview of criminal and unethical activities that affect the clients organization, with follow-up supplied to enable the client to legally dismiss or criminally prosecute the culprit

Coin Lifting – thirty designated vehicles and teams are available for the safe collection of coins to be transported on behalf of a client to any designated drop-off zone

Cash in Transit – Quattro Risk is the first black owned company who successfully extends this service in a previously white dominated industry in Cape Town.

VIP Protection – currently Quattro Risk has 200 protectors on its database and also provides its expertise in training PDI’s in this specific security industry

Risk Assessment / Risk Analysis-Comprehensive surveys are carried out with a view to risk reduction and loss prevention, with subsequent audits and management service provided. Example- If an oil well is to be erected a risk analyst will first be sent out to do a complete investigation as to the benefits and potential risk and liabilities that may arise.

Static guarding - all Quattro staff are trained to conduct regular checks and patrols inside and outside via a clocking electronic clocking system, which reports to a central control. These checks encumber various aspects. Peripheral checking, prevention of theft etc.

Mobile static guarding – security checks are done by security staff patrolling along a route or in an area that is vast via a clocking electronic clocking system, which reports to a central control.

About Mr Faizel Moosa (Chief Executive Officer)


• Previously held the position of Deputy Commander of the ANC Department of Intelligence and Security in the Western Cape.
• His portfolio included the development and implementation of protection strategies for:-
o Numerous political events.
o Personalised protection arrangements for a host of political figures ranging from:
* The then President – (Mr Nelson Mandela)
* The then Deputy President – (Mr Thabo Mbeki)
* Prominent Cabinet Ministers.
• His many years within the Department of Intelligence and Security have afforded him invaluable experience and expertise in the business of protection and defence.
• International training in the area of security, most notably with the Department of State in the USA, in Diplomatic Protection.
• Holds a BA (Law) degree from the University of the Western Cape.
• Grade B Security Training.
• Security management with Damelin.
• Senior management programme Henley.
• 2003 Subsidiary company Quattro Cash Management of which Mr Moosa was the majority share holder was awarded the close protection (VIP) contract for the World Event of Cricket World Cup.
• This meant the protection of all participating International Teams, ICC Delegates, and Heads of state who attended.
• Locally Mr Moosa oversaw the training of 200 people as VIP protectors. None of these individuals had previous VIP Training
• Bearing in mind that this particular World Cup extended from Cape Town to Kenya
• In excess of 500 VIP Protectors were used to ensure a total success of the event
